Pelicans at Venus Bay Caravan Park S.A

These georgous creatures were all lined up like little soldiers at the fish cleaning area in the caravan park.. All waiting for the fisherman to clean and fillet his prized catch of the day and hoping he will toss them the scraps, which of course he does...They are so used to seeing people clean their fish in this area that as soon as they see anybody there with their catch up they come a running, looks so funny....

Abalone Farms at Talia Beach in S.A...

Oyster Farming at Coffin Bay S.A

We spent the nite here and had no idea there was an Oyster Farm right under our noses so to speak until the next morning when all these tractors with these funny looking boats started to arrive....We soon got out our cameras and started clicking..Im glad Brian didnt park at the spot I had chosen at this place cause we would have been right on top of the spot where they drive these things into the water...Now wouldn't that have been lovely...lol....

Parked at Talia S.A

Rocks in Paddocks S.A

This is what the paddocks look like around Elliston towards the coast..Now you know why the farmers had to build all these rock fences because how else were they going to get rid of these rocks when they clear their land...Now you understand why when I said there are lots and lots of rock fences in this area of S.A...

Marina at Port Lincholn, S.A

A part of the Marina here in Port Lincholn S.A We had a lovely lunch here at the restuarant.. All the boat tours leave from here..

Brian at Woolshed Caves,Talia. S.A

Brian walking down the steps to the Woolshed Caves, not me I stayed up the top where I was nearly blown away from the winds that were coming off the Great Australian Bight.

Rock Fences S.A.

This is are very facinating to see paddocks done with all this type of rock fencing. The paddocks are so full of rocks that from a distance you would think it was snow. The story I was told was that in the olden days for the farmer to be able to make use of his land he had to clear it of all these rocks. They had to get rid of these rocks somehow so they decided to put them to good use and started building fences with them...Many of this sort of fencing is still standing to this day..This photo was taken between Elliston and Venus Bay, Eyre Peninsula S.A...

Woolshed Caves at Talia S.A

The steps leading down to the Woolshed cave near Talia, and the veiw from the top. It was so windy and dusty the day we were here..The wind was blowing the dust in sheets. This is on the Great Australian Bight ...

Salt Flats at Eyre Peninsula S.A

Would you believe that white you see in the background of this photo is all salt. Its an amazing sight to see. We were driving along and I could see all this white in the distance and asked Brian if it was sand or salt..As we got closer to it I took this pic while we were driving so if its not quite clear thats the reason why ok....

And to put your mind at rest NO I didnt have any alcahol I only had a raspberry drink with my lunch....lol...

thing I have noticed over here along the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia is that the jetties are very very long...This jetty at Trumby Bay is very long but have no idea how long...

Shop in Tumby Bay S.A

Fruit Disposal Bin sign

This is one of the signs you see when you enter Victoria.. Any fruit or vegetables you happen to be carrying with you when you enter this state has to by Victorian law be placed in the bins provided because its illegal in this state to bring in any fruit or vegetabes from another state.. This is to prevent the fruit fly and its because of these strict rules that Victoria is a fruit fly free state....
